WHY BECOME A SUNNY STAR?
All of our little ones enjoy endless fun in the safe and nurturing environment at Sunny Days and we love to welcome onboard new team members to enhance this. Every day is a new adventure for your children, where they engage with the Early Years curriculum and Foundation Stage Learning Goals, all while exploring, interacting and importantly having a great time. Many are dependent on our team and all need to be encouraged and cared for.
If you think you have the enthusiasm, commitment and drive to be a Sunny Star, please read on...
DO YOU THINK IT COULD BE YOU?
Do you have patience day to day,
For every tear you’d wipe away,
For little hands you’d gently hold,
And all the stories to be told,
For consoling tender hearts,
And for all the wisdom you'd impart,
For silly songs and quiet times,
For peaceful naps and nursery rhymes,
For teaching children how to share,
For being kind and being fair,
For every shoe that needs to be tied,
And thoughtful words to instil pride,
For all the sweet things you would do,
To help the children all year through...
"I’m loving my role as your PIP and just enjoy bouncing around the 5 settings hopefully spreading cheer and positivity – along of course with a few nuggets and a bit of wisdom, I hope! 😊 It’s hard for me to nominate colleagues for awards because I feel as I’m PIP to all your settings I should probably stay neutral, but this may be a good time to add how much I value and admire your entire team. The Sunny days staff across the board have been so welcoming to me and really are taking on broad ideas and new ways to offer play and inclusion. Of course, due to my own career background I’m particularly drawn to the children with SEN and I’ve loved seeing these little ones in particular blossom under the Sunny days wings.
Thank you all for giving me the opportunity as I’d hoped to cascade my own knowledge built up over 35 years –
I can’t think of a nicer bunch of people to share it all with!"
Play and Inclusion Practitioner (PIP)
"I have had great support and training opportunities offered to me whilst working at Sunny Days and this has helped me to keep my knowledge up to date within the sector but has also broadened my experiences that I can then bring back into my role as I evolve with the knowledge I have learnt. My continual professional development has been the key to my success story in my eyes because without the vast knowledge that I have been given I would not be able to push forward my practice and role model to my team as the Manager."
Bridport Nursery Manager
"I love that I have had the opportunity to grow professionally and personally throughout my time at Sunny Days and that I am lucky enough to catch sneaky glimpses of my son having lots of fun during his time here too!
At the Sunny Days staff awards I have won The Biggest Heart 2020, Fire Extinguisher Award 2020, Safe Award 2016, Warm Fuzzies Award 2016."
